Lewis Hamilton’s prospects have done a complete 180 from his run in Ferrari last year. From struggles race after race in 2025, this season has welcomed much more of the Lewis Hamilton that his loyal fans know and admire. In a very Mercedes dominant season so far, Lewis has been the only other driver from another team to claim the top of the podium in his win at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit. The win was also his first Ferrari Grand prix race win. A win that was nearly 20 seconds clear of championship contender and previous teammate George Russel.
With Silverstone just a few days away, his recent run of form means that Lewis Hamilton has a real shot at winning his home grand prix in red. Fans last saw him win Silverstone in 2024 with Mercedes, which was his ninth win at the British circuit. The track is one that Lewis has been very successful in and now that he has shown to be much more confident in the new Ferrari car, all eyes will be on the British driver this weekend.

His strongest competition this weekend will be with his old team Mercedes who not only have two strong drivers in George Russel and Kimi Antonelli but a good car to compete in. Mercedes have been the favourites since pre-season testing to dominate this season and they have not disappointed. But what was not expected is for Ferrari to be not too far behind them. McLaren have also found themselves in the mix in a few races and with a bit of luck on their side it wouldn’t be out of blue to see either Oscar Piastri or Lando Norris on the podium this weekend either. Three top teams in battle for the win, with three drivers who can each call Silverstone their home race.
Further to add to the delusion, even with Kimi Antonelli sitting comfortably on top of the championship driver’s championship, Lewis Hamilton’s recent positive form has found him runner up. Now, formula one is a sport where everything can change in a weekend and with fourteen races still to go for the season the crown belongs to anybody. But, it sure is exciting to see a driver as successful as Lewis Hamilton back at the top and bringing some excitement back into the sport this season.
